Chapel by the Sea Wedding FAQs

  • Chapel by the Sea is the only church on Clearwater Beach, located on the north end of the island, steps from the white sands of Clearwater Beach and walking distance to several exceptional hotels and reception venues.

  • Yes! The sanctuary has a center aisle; chairs in the chapel can be arranged for a center aisle as well. The sanctuary is beautifully appointed with traditional pews, stunning stained-glass windows, state-of-the-art audio-visual equipment, and a gorgeous gold-leaf cross and organ pipes—a beautiful backdrop for your wedding photos!

  • Free parking (35 spaces) is available in the church parking lot. Additional parking may be arranged for larger weddings.

  • Yes! We gladly welcome and support same-sex couples at Chapel by the Sea.

  • Obtain your Florida marriage license from any County Clerk’s office. It is valid for 60 days. Bring it to your rehearsal or at least one day before the ceremony. The wedding cannot take place without it.

  • Yes! After the ceremony, the wedding party may return to the altar area for photos. We offer professional HD videography with 4 cameras and a flash drive recording. Outside videographers must coordinate with our wedding staff.

  • We offer three options:

    • Sanctuary (seats up to 325): $4,000 flat rate

    • Chapel (seats up to 30): $4,000 flat rate

    • Minister's Study or Reflection Garden (under 10 people): $550

  • The $4,000 sanctuary package includes: rehearsal, 2 hours facility access before the ceremony, minister’s services, A/V specialist (livestream option, ceremony recording on flash drive), organist or pianist, soloist, custodian, coordinator, 3 white silk flower arrangements, 2 brass candelabras, brass pew candles with flowers, use of Chapel Hall for reception, free parking in church lot. (Note: the sanctuary was totally remodeled in 2025.)

  • The $4,000 chapel package includes: rehearsal, 2 hours facility access before the ceremony, minister’s services, pianist/organist, soloist, custodian, coordinator, 1 white silk flower arrangement, and 2 altar candles, use of Chapel Hall for reception, free parking in church lot.

  • The $550 package includes: use of the space, minister’s services, free parking in church lot.

  • Additional time beyond 2 hours before the wedding and 1.5 hours after the wedding costs $50/hour.

  • A non-refundable $500 deposit is required to reserve your date and time. This amount is deducted from your total cost.

  • The balance must be paid at least one month before your wedding date (unless arrangements were made within a month of the wedding).
