Herbert Freitag, Pastor
Chapel By The Sea
Staff
                                      Rev. Herb Freitag received his education at Fairleigh Dickinson      
                                University and Union Theological Seminary (New York City)             
                                finishing with a Masters Degree in Divinity.  He has served as         
                                assistant minister at
East Williston Community Church in New        
                                York
; senior minister at Scottwood Community Church in Ohio; and  
                                pastor of the Chapel since 1981.  He has also served the                
                                International Council of Community Churches as a member of the
Board of Trustees, editor of the newspaper, and is currently the Council's Immediate
Past-President. He represents the Chapel ecumenically by serving on boards in such
organizations as The Florida Fellowship of Community Churches,
Morton Plant/Mease Hospitals, and The Hospice of the Florida Suncoast.
Roy Rabatin, Staff Clergy
Marilyn Michael,  Director of Music/Organist
                      Dr. Marilyn Michael has earned BM and MM degrees in Vocal                    
                   Performance from the University of Kansas, as well as completing             
                   post-graduate studies at the Bachakadamie in Stuttgart, Germany.           
                   She also has an Ed. D from the University of Sarasota and is                    
                   working on a second master's degree in Post-secondary and Adult             
                   Education at Capella University.  She is coordinator of vocal studies          
                   at St. Petersburg College and since 1994 has served there as                   
                   full-time instructor/facilitator in voice, opera workshops, and                    
                   humanities.

Marilyn has sung in concert in Germany and England, as well as the United States, and
recently performed at Carnegie Hall.  She has produced a solo album on the Erasmus
label in the Netherlands.
Rev. Roy (Buzz) Rabatin attended Westminster College in New
Wilmington, Pennsylvania, and Louisville Presbyterian Theological
Seminary in Louisville, Kentucky.  He has served a variety of churches
as Pastor, Christian Educator, Counselor and Chaplain.  He performs
weddings at the Chapel, and "fills in" for Rev. Freitag when necessary.
Kris Parks, Office and Facility Manager
Kris Parks moved to the Tampa Bay area from Michigan in 1999.
She brings 35 years of office and computer skills to her position
and has a creative talent which is beneficial in producing the
Chapel's many publications. Kris also serves the Chapel as
Wedding Coordinator.
Jean Earley, Sexton
Jean Earley, has served as Sexton at Chapel-By-The-Sea for over
19 years. Moving here from New Jersey with her husband, who was
our Sexton until he passed away, Jean assumed his duties.
